I was googling around last night and found the first review ‘Tails’ ever received back in 2005 (the original mini-series, not the webcomic). Read the rest of this entry…
Man, this guy is just such a dick. I love it, but I can’t help but hate him. Everything he says is just so jaded and I can’t take anything he says as the truth.
We’re seeing a fairly consistent disconnect between Ethan’s narration and what’s often portrayed in the art. A few pages back, his brother seemed to genuinely be trying to be sympathetic and helpful — Ethan blew him off as an “arrogant know-it-all.” Ethan’s rage is such that he really can’t see straight or think straight.
I do see the jaded side, especially in the last few pages. April just wants her friend to branch out into the building. Granted, the nudist roommate might make me feel like hiding in my room.
Oh my goodness- Strategic mug placement for the win.
I’m not really sure why, but this ‘comic’ is super intriguing- and I’m not usually an ‘every-day-life’ comic kinda girl.
Keep up the sweet work!
Ok, the mug placement is funny- but I like the blatant projection in panel three even more. “She’s so negative! She compensates for being unhappy by criticizing everything else. And this apartment sucks. And the food is bad. And my roommates are annoying. Geez, why is the whole world so messed up? Anyway, yeah, very negative on her part.”

I don’t know. Just because he doesn’t sugar coat his thoughts doesn’t mean it has to be all lies..

Bwahhahah!
No, what’s really amazing is that you left a comment on a page in the archives and it STAYED there. Now THAT’S amazing!
