The joys of purchasing Photoshop CS6. To answer the question all you skeptics might be wondering: no, I’ve never been good at downloading illegal software.

Yeah I just read even CS2 (which Adobe gives away for free now) will not work with Windows 8. I tried it on Windows 7 and use it on a PowerPC Mac with little issue (there are some very minor issues in Win7) but it works well enough to spare me the 700 wing-wangs.

I feel like I am always pushing this program but seriously look into Gimp2.6 or 2.8. Amazing software and its open source

Hmm, I’ve heard of Gimp but I’ve sadly never pushed myself to explore the software. I’ll look into it, thanks!

That´s funny JM. That was my first thought, when I saw this Comic about PS. I´m a fan of gimp too, but have no glue if it´s suitable for an artist.
      But a glimps at gimp won´t cost U a Penny Ethan :)

Hmm… What was the error that windows 8 giving you regarding Photoshop 7? Was it a scratch disk full error? There is a work-around to that issue that may be of some help. The problem stems from PS7′s outdated programing and how it’s not designed to recognize hard drives that are 1tb or greater.

I tried partitioning the hard drive to a size smaller than 1tb, but still had no luck. I guess it was time that I upgraded to CS6 anyhoo, right? =P

My partition is 2.99gb, maybe that size may work for you? Man, if I could find the tutorial that helped me I’d link it here. I’ll keep looking, but yeah I suppose the upgrade is important; won’t deny that. I personally had been running Windows XP for almost 12 years until switching to 7, and in the end it was the right thing to do.

Yeah, I stuck with Windows XP and my old Dell Dimension for 9 years. Ahh, good memories…
